How much does a 7 Brew franchise owner make? 7 Brew does not publish owner profit, but its Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) does publish sales, and the 2025 FDD also gave store-level margins. Using those official numbers, this guide shows what an average 7 Brew stand brings in, what is left after the main operating costs, and which costs still come out before an owner sees any money.
Quick answer
In the 2026 FDD, franchised 7 Brew stands averaged about $2.65 million in yearly sales (2025). In the 2025 FDD, the average stand made about 19.7% of sales after royalties, brand fund and technology fees, but before rent, loan payments, depreciation and taxes. On 2024 sales that is roughly $393,000 per stand before those costs. What an owner actually takes home depends on rent, debt and how many stands they run.

7 Brew Stand Sales: What the FDD Shows
To answer how much a 7 Brew franchise owner makes, start with sales. Item 19 of the FDD is the only place 7 Brew officially states store performance. The two most recent versions show how quickly average sales have grown.
| Measure | 2025 FDD (2024 sales) | 2026 FDD (2025 sales) |
|---|---|---|
| Franchised stands counted | 162 | 297 |
| Average gross sales | $1,989,229 | About $2.65 million |
| Median gross sales | $1,921,485 | About $2.57 million (all 320 stands) |
| Range (all stands) | Not stated in our source | $836,418 – $6.37 million |
That is roughly a 33% jump in average franchised sales in one year, during a period when the chain was expanding at record speed. 7 Brew does this from very small buildings: QSR Magazine reported that stands average about 510 square feet. Keep the range in mind too: the lowest stand sold around $836,000 and the highest more than $6 million, so the “average” hides big differences between locations.
From Sales to Profit: The Margins in the FDD
Sales are not profit. The 2025 FDD went one step further and reported store-level margins for 2024. These are the two numbers that matter:
| Margin (2025 FDD, 2024 data) | Share of sales | On the $1,989,229 average |
|---|---|---|
| EBITDAR before franchise fees | 28.99% | About $577,000 |
| EBITDAR after royalties, brand fund and tech fee | 19.74% | About $393,000 |
EBITDAR means earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization and rent. In plain terms, it is what a stand earns from selling drinks after food, paper, labor and day-to-day running costs, but before several big bills are paid. The dollar column is our own calculation: the FDD margin applied to the FDD average.
Costs That Still Come Out Before the Owner Gets Paid
The $393,000 figure is not take-home pay. These costs are not included in it:
- Rent or land costs. Many stands sit on leased or ground-leased lots. One FDD analysis estimated rent at up to 5% of sales; at that level the average 2024 stand drops to about $293,000 (14.74% of sales).
- Loan payments. Many owners finance part of the $940,500 to $2,283,500 it costs to open a stand, so interest and principal come out of earnings.
- Depreciation. The building and equipment wear out and need replacing over time.
- Income taxes. These depend on the owner’s structure and state.
- Management and overhead. Multi-unit owners usually pay area managers, accounting and office costs across their stores.

Why Owners Earn Across Several Stands, Not One
7 Brew does not sell single stores. The 2025 FDD required a commitment to at least 5 stores, and 2026 deals are described around 10. So the real question for most owners is not what one stand makes, but what a group of stands makes after shared costs and debt. A strong stand can carry a weaker one, and a bad site can drag down the group. Our 7 Brew franchise application guide explains the multi-unit commitment in more detail.
What Changes How Much a 7 Brew Franchise Owner Makes
- Location and traffic. The gap between the lowest and highest stand (about $836,000 versus $6.37 million) shows how much the site matters. Our 7 Brew locations guide shows where stands are already open.
- Menu prices. Each franchised stand sets its own prices, so the same drink can cost a little more or less from one market to the next. See our 7 Brew sizes and prices guide and the full 7 Brew menu.
- Royalty tier. 7 Brew’s royalty rises with weekly sales: 4.5% under $20,000, 5.5% from $20,000 to $25,000, and 7% above $25,000, plus a 2% brand fund. Busier stands pay a higher rate on their sales.
- Rent versus owning the land. Owning the lot removes rent but means far more money up front.
- Labor. Wages are one of the biggest running costs in any drive-thru coffee business, so local pay rates make a real difference.
- How long the stand has been open. Newer stands may still be building their customer base.
Is a 7 Brew Franchise Profitable?
On the FDD numbers, the average 7 Brew stand has had strong sales and solid store-level margins, and sales grew sharply in 2025. That is a good sign, but it is not a promise. The margins above come from 2024; we have not seen 2025 margins, and 7 Brew’s fast expansion means many new stands are still young. Anyone serious should read Item 19 in the current FDD, ask 7 Brew for the cost assumptions behind it, and speak to several existing franchisees.
FAQs: How Much Does a 7 Brew Franchise Owner Make?
What is the average revenue of a 7 Brew stand?
In the 2026 FDD, the 297 franchised stands open all of 2025 averaged about $2.65 million in gross sales. In the 2025 FDD, the average for 2024 was $1,989,229.
How much profit does a 7 Brew make?
7 Brew does not publish net profit. The 2025 FDD showed the average stand earning 19.74% of sales after royalties, brand fund and technology fees, before rent, interest, depreciation and taxes. That was about $393,000 on 2024 average sales.
What is the 7 Brew franchise owner salary?
There is no set salary. Owners are paid from what is left after all costs and loan payments, across all the stands they own. That amount varies widely by location, rent and debt.
How long does it take to earn back a 7 Brew investment?
7 Brew does not publish a payback period. It depends on your build cost, how much you borrowed, rent and sales. Ask existing franchisees and your accountant to model it with real numbers.
Do 7 Brew owners have to work in the stand?
7 Brew looks for hands-on operators, but because deals are multi-unit, most owners manage a group of stands through managers rather than working one shift line themselves.
